Scholarship Purpose

Provide financial support to academically gifted students equipped to become active leaders in the campus and culture, to foster a fuller participation in the great tradition of a Catholic liberal arts education.

Qualifications

  • Recipient must demonstrate excellence in studies, leadership abilities, and devotion to their Catholic faith.
  • Recipients will take part in the Thomas S. Monaghan Founders Program.
  • Recipients must be first-time college applicants or transfer students with fewer than 24 attempted credits (Freshman).  
  • Initial requirement a minimum high school GPA of at least 3.70 unweighted and a minimum 30 ACT, 1360 SAT or 92 CLT.
  • Must be enrolled full time (minimum 12 credits per semester) for the disbursement.
  • Recipient must reside on campus.

Selection Process

Selected by committee based on variety of factors, including application and academic credentials.

Expectations

  • Daily devotions and required reading. All materials are provided to you at no charge.
  • Attend weekly theology events – one night per week.
  • Attend 8-9 required Catholic formation events.
