On Sunday I watched Ave Maria University vans unload supplies and luggage after an off-campus retreat that our Campus Minister Fr. Rick led the previous three days. It was a huge success and over 100 students attended. Last week, too, saw dozens of Ave students in the Mother Teresa Project go to Immokalee to mentor the youth of this farmworker community at the Immokalee Soccer School (and tonight another group will go for weekly engagement with those kids). Last night Mary and I hosted some of our Mother Teresa missionaries for a cookout as they reminisced about their experiences in Calcutta, Haiti, Mexico, Brazil, the DR, Washington, DC, and Uganda.
