Ave Maria University provides multiple pathways to care: a free on-campus clinic, a new flat-fee partnership with Health Care Network, and trusted local emergency and telehealth options — all designed to keep students healthy and focused on what matters most.

Padre Pio Campus Health Clinic

A free clinic available to all students in need of medical care. Operated by Rachel McDonald, RN, MSN in partnership with Dr. Anthony D'Agostino, who specializes in internal medicine.

Free for Students

The clinic is free for all AMU students. External provider referrals and pharmacy medications may carry outside fees.

Please note: Sports physicals, imaging, immunizations, and lab draws are not currently available in the campus health clinic, but case-by-case orders or referrals may be possible.

Class exemption notes are not provided by the campus health clinic. In cases where extended absence is medically required, adaptive services will be contacted to assist with accommodations.

New Community Partnership

Health Care Network Access

All Ave Maria University students now have access to care through Health Care Network, which has agreed to see AMU students (up to age 25) for a flat fee of just $45 per visit.

The campus health clinic is free for all students. There may be outside fees if the student needs care from an external provider referred by the clinic, or if the student needs medication from a pharmacy.
1) Students complete a brief electronic intake. 2) The nurse performs an assessment and takes vital signs. 3) Further screening, testing, or examination is performed by the nurse where applicable. 4) When necessary, nursing notes are sent to the physician for diagnosis, medication orders, other orders, and final recommendations.
Both the RN and doctor are required to abide by standards set by HIPAA. Electronic forms are HIPAA compliant, and all paper records are stored in locked, fire-proof cabinets. A Release of Protected Health Information form is available if the patient wishes to have records shared.
