Financial Aid Grants
Ave Maria University offers various grants to help make your education affordable. Grants are gift aid that does not need to be repaid. Click on any grant below to learn more about eligibility and how to apply.
EASE Grant ($3,500)
Purpose
Provide tuition assistance to Florida undergraduate students attending an eligible private, non-profit college or university in Florida. The student must be a Florida resident for 12 or more consecutive months and enrolled full time (12+ credit hours a semester).
Qualifications
- Undergraduate seeking their first bachelor's degree
- US Citizen
- FL resident for 12+ months prior to the first day of classes
- Enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours)
- Not be in default on any state or federal grant, loan, or scholarship
- File FAFSA

FSEOG ($500)
Purpose
Provide gift aid to undergraduate students with exceptional financial need. Priority is given to students with the lowest Expected Family Contribution (EFC) who receive Federal Pell Grants.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate seeking their first bachelor's degree
- Priority given to Pell eligible with lowest EFC
- File FAFSA
- Apply on time (April 1st Priority Deadline)

Florida Bright Futures (FAS $212/credit, FMS $159/credit)
Purpose
Establish a lottery-funded scholarship program to reward students for their academic achievements. The scholarship covers tuition for Florida Academic Scholars (FAS) or partial tuition for Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS).
Qualifications
- FL resident
- US Citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Complete the Florida Financial Aid Application during senior year in high school
- Earn a standard Florida high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Enroll in a degree or certificate program at an eligible Florida institution within 3 years of high school graduation
- Not have been found guilty of or plead no contest to a felony charge

Florida Catholic Grant ($500/year)
Purpose
Ave Maria University's Florida Catholic Scholarship is awarded to students who are active members of the Catholic Church in a Florida Parish.
Qualifications
- Catholic
- Active member of a Catholic parish in Florida
- FL resident for 12+ months prior to the first day of classes
- Enrolled as full-time undergrad seeking first bachelor's degree

Florida Student Assistance Grant (FSAG) ($1,000)
Purpose
Provide tuition and fee assistance to Florida undergraduates who demonstrate substantial financial need and are enrolled in participating postsecondary institutions.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate seeking their first bachelor's degree
- US Citizen
- FL resident for 12+ months prior to the first day of classes
- Enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours)
- Not be in default on any state or federal grant, loan, or scholarship
- File FAFSA by the state deadline of May 15th
- Meet the State of Florida financial need requirements

Legacy Grants ($2,000/year)
Purpose
Awarded to students who have a parent who graduated from Ave Maria University or Ave Maria School of Law.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate
- Full-time enrollment (12+ credit hours)
- At least one parent must have graduated from AMU or Ave Maria School of Law

Federal Pell Grant (Up to $7,395)
Purpose
Provide need-based gift aid to undergraduate students. The amount of the grant depends on cost of attendance, enrollment status, and financial need.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate seeking their first bachelor's degree
- US Citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Have a high school diploma, GED, or approved homeschool education
- Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a regular student in an eligible degree program
- Not owe a refund on a federal grant or be in default on a federal student loan
- File FAFSA
- Have financial need (determined by FAFSA)

Sibling Grants ($2,000/year)
Purpose
Awarded to students who have a sibling simultaneously enrolled at Ave Maria University. Each sibling is eligible to receive a sibling grant for each academic year that both siblings are enrolled at the same time.
Qualifications
- Two or more siblings enrolled simultaneously at AMU
- Full-time enrollment (12+ credit hours) for each sibling
- Applied each semester

Visit Grants ($250/year)
Purpose
Awarded to incoming freshmen or transfer students who completed a campus visit day at Ave Maria University.
Qualifications
- Incoming freshman or transfer student
- Completed an official campus visit day
- Full-time enrollment (12+ credit hours)
