MARCH 2026
Annunciation Fest
One of Ave Maria University's most beloved annual traditions took place on March 21, when the entire campus community gathered to celebrate the Solemnity of the Annunciation! The day began with Mass, followed by a Eucharistic rosary procession, a festive dinner, and a live concert by Steve Moakler. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests filled the campus with a spirit of faith and fellowship—a beautiful way to honor Our Lady's Fiat. Annunciation Fest is one of those traditions that truly captures the heart of life at AMU.

Students gathered for a night of craic, community, and conversation hosted by the AMU Marian Culture team. The event brought the campus together for fellowship and laughter, centered around a brief talk by Irish Ph.D. candidate and theology professor Mattie Harte. Nights like these are at the heart of what AMU is all about.

Ukrainian Lecture
On February 26, students, faculty, and staff gathered for a compelling lecture by the Very Rev. Mitred Archpriest Dr. Mark Morozowich of The Catholic University of America, where he serves as associate professor of Liturgical Studies & Sacramental Theology and director of the Bishop Basil Losten Center for Ukrainian Church Studies. Drawing on history, theology, and lived experience, Dr. Morozowich traced the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church's centuries-long journey of faith, resilience, and rich cultural heritage through profound hardship. The evening concluded with a lively Q&A that gave attendees the chance to engage more deeply with the night's themes—a vivid reminder of the breadth of intellectual and spiritual life at AMU.

Faith and Fire
On March 16, Faith & Fire brought a bold and creative twist to campus Monday night with an AMU-style take on the viral Hot Ones interview format. Faculty sat down to answer student questions while working their way through a lineup of increasingly spicy wings. As the heat climbed, so did the laughs, with professors sharing stories, surprises, and reactions that had the crowd thoroughly entertained. It was a lighthearted and genuine way to connect with faculty outside the classroom!

Dorm Wars
This week kicked off Dorm Wars: Holiday Edition. Every dorm has picked their holiday and the fight for bragging rights is underway. Night one brought the competition to life with a trivia night showdown, and the dorms came ready to play. Questions flew, points were earned, and when the dust settled, Mother Teresa Hall came out the victor. The battle for glory has begun, and if night one is any indication, this is going to be one for the books.
