Welcome to another edition of the Ave Maria University Weekly Recap, where we look back on the highlights of the past week’s campus events, including the Sidewalk Advocacy Training, the Drama Club Showcase, and the “Taste and See” Fashion Show!
Ave for Life hosted Sidewalk Advocacy Training in partnership with Sidewalk Advocates For Life this past week. Students had the opportunity to learn how to help women who are considering abortion by their presence on the sidewalk. Our students are passionately pro-life and always ready to take the next step in the pro-life movement!
To celebrate Fr. Cessario’s 80th birthday and St. Thomas Aquinas’ 800th birthday, the theology department hosted a panel discussion with Dr. Stephen Long, Fr. Ryan Connors, Fr. Cajetan Cuddy, O.P., and Dr. Jorgen Vigen. It was a beautiful and insightful way to celebrate Fr. Cessario and honor St. Thomas Aquinas.
“Taste and See” Fashion Show was a one of a kind event which took place this weekend. The event began with a cocktail hour and featured work from outfit designers, models, and hair and makeup artists. Students featured their talents and skills for a night of community and entertainment.
Each semester, the Drama Club showcases the skill of its members through a night of entertainment. Students, faculty, friends, and family all gather in The Daily Grind coffee shop to support their peers and loved ones as they showcase their talent. We’re so proud of our students!
