Verso il Cielo sisters embrace poverty of spirit, gift of self, and missionary zeal. Inspired by Bl. Pier Giorgio, St. Philip Neri, St. Augustine, Our Lady.
As the sisters of Verso il Cielo, we respond to the call to live “towards the heavens” by pursuing a life built on poverty of spirit, gift of self, and a missionary disposition. Through Sacred Scripture and Tradition, we seek to know and love Christ so we may further cultivate the desire to know Him personally and share that knowledge with others. This is accomplished through zealously sharing the joy of our identity found in Christ and exemplifying the words of St. Augustine when he said, “To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek him the greatest adventure; to find him, the greatest human achievement.” We turn to Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati, St. Philip Neri, St. Augustine, and Our Lady of Guadalupe as examples of how to live a life aimed “towards the heavens.”

How to join
We have open meetings for a few weeks, and then letters of intent due, and a week of intent with initiation following (in the spring, on our retreat). We intent both fall and spring semesters!
