Our identity
Amicae Animarum
A women's household at Ave Maria University
Amicae Animarum is dedicated to liberating the Holy Souls from Purgatory for the greater glory of God. Through our commitments, we practice charity by loving God above all things and loving our neighbors, the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for love of Him. We live in humility remembering we are dust and to dust we shall return. In hope we rely on the grace and promises of Christ, whom we serve as Jesus, Bridegroom of Souls. We entrust ourselves to St. Joseph, patron of a happy death, and follow the examples of St. Gertrude the Great and Our Lady, Mary, Mother of Mercy, who never ceases to bring relief to the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
