Join scholars from around the United States for one exciting weekend

Ave Maria University’s Presidential Scholarship Weekend, January 17 - 18, 2025, is an invitation-only event offering students the chance to compete for significant scholarships, up to full tuition, fees, room, and board through the Presidential Scholarship.

Compete for the highest merit scholarships. Multiple scholarships offered across multiple categories.

Presidential Scholarship
Full cost of attendance totaling more than $46,000/year for 4 years

Provost Scholarship
Full cost of tuition and fees totaling more than $30,000/year for 4 years

How?

You will receive a minimum offer of $16,000, just by attending and participating in the weekend.

All attendees will receive a minimum offer for a scholarship of $3,000 per year for four years. That’s $12,000!

With an automatic invitation to the Honor’s Academic Program for all attendees, you’ll have the opportunity to receive an additional $1,000 per year for four years. That’s $4,000!  

What You Can Win

Presidential: Full cost of attendance. Includes tuition, fees, and room and board.

Provost: Includes full cost of tuition and fees.

Various merit scholarships: $7,500, $5,000, $3,000. All attendees will leave with at least $3,000/year.

And, $1,000: All participants will be invited to participate in the Honor’s Academic Program.

Selection Process

Recipients must be incoming first-year students. Initial requirement: a minimum unweighted high school GPA of 3.70 and a minimum 30 ACT, 1360 SAT, or 92 CLT.

The Presidential Scholarship Weekend will include...

  • Dinner with President Middendorf
  • Meeting AMU students
  • Opportunities for Mass and prayer
  • A comprehensive examination
  • An interview with an AMU faculty member

Travel to Southwest Florida

Students have the option to stay overnight with AMU host students. Parents and other family members are invited to stay in local hotels.

For students traveling alone, AMU offers complimentary airport pickup from Fort Myers International Airport (RSW). Students eligible for pick up should schedule their transportation with the Office of Admissions.
