PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP WEEKEND

Ave Maria University’s Presidential Scholarship Weekend is an exclusive, invitation-only event where students compete for significant scholarships—including awards that cover full tuition, fees, room, and board.

STEP 1: APPLY & BE ACCEPTED

Start by completing your application to Ave Maria University by November 15.

  • Submit all transcripts and test scores
  • Connect with your admissions counselor
  • Complete your admissions interview
  • Be accepted to AMU  

STEP 2: MEET SELECTION CRITERIA

To be invited students must:

  • Be an incoming first-year student
  • Hold a minimum 3.7 unweighted GPA
  • Score at least 30 ACT, 1360 SAT, or 92 CLT

STEP 3: COMPETE FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

At Presidential Scholarship Weekend, finalists compete for Ave Maria University’s top awards. All participants will receive at least $3,000 per year for four years.

  • Presidential Scholarship – Full cost of attendance (tuition, fees, room, and board), totaling more than $48,000 per year for four years
  • Provost Scholarship – Full cost of tuition and fees, totaling more than $33,000 per year for four years
  • Additional merit scholarships: $7,500, $5,000, or $3,000 per year for four years

All participants will be invited to participate in the Honor’s Academic Program—an extra $1,000 per year for four years.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Presidential Scholarship Weekend
will include:

  • A full tour of campus
  • Dinner with President Middendorf
  • Meeting current AMU students
  • Opportunities for Mass and Prayer
  • A comprehensive examination

LODGING & TRAVEL

Students are paired with AMU host students for overnight accommodations. Parents and families are invited to stay at nearby hotels.

For students traveling alone, AMU offers complimentary airport pickup from Fort Myers International Airport (RSW). Students should coordinate their travel plans with the Office of Admissions.
