Founded in 1897, Phi Kappa Phi (ΦKΦ) is the oldest, most prestigious, multidisciplinary collegiate honors society in the United States. Each year, about 30,000 members just its ranks.
With the mission to "recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others," Phi Kappa Phi has inducted over a million members from more than 300 campuses. Membership in Phi Kappa Phi is more than just a line on a resume, as it represents inclusion into a global network of the brightest minds in all academic disciplines.
The society takes its name from its motto, "Let the love of learning rule humanity," or Philosophía Krateítõ Phõtôn in Greek.
