The Sign

The Sculpture of the Image of the Raised Man of the Shroud

In contrast to the blood marks that show that the crucified man of the shroud was first laid out supine on his shroud, the anatomical form and the falling hair of the image show that his body is not supine. He is upright, raised up as if in midair.

“Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

A Permanent Exhibition

Shroud of Turin Exhibit interior

This exhibit, now permanently at Ave Maria University, was originally at the St. John Paul II National Shrine during Lent 2025 and again in 2026.

Come and see the visual Sign that Jesus predicted 2,000 years ago. And only now it comes to light. Here, for the first time, is an exhibit of the words of John, the onsite witness, that reveals the meaning of what we see on the Shroud of Jesus.

See the first sculpture of the sign that Jesus left us. This sign, that John ingeniously concealed, shows the world that Jesus is the Son of God.
