As the sisters of Verso il Cielo, we respond to the call to live “towards the heavens” by pursuing a life built on poverty of spirit, gift of self, and a missionary disposition. Through Sacred Scripture and Tradition, we seek to know and love Christ so we may further cultivate the desire to know Him personally and share that knowledge with others. This is accomplished through zealously sharing the joy of our identity found in Christ and exemplifying the words of St. Augustine when he said, “To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek him the greatest adventure; to find him, the greatest human achievement.” We turn to Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati, St. Philip Neri, St. Augustine, and Our Lady of Guadalupe as examples of how to live a life aimed “towards the heavens.”
Our primary mission as a household is to "live towards the heavens" as we foster a deep personal relationship with Christ by studying the Word. It is then our genuine desire to share zealously the joy of our personal identity uncovered in Christ Jesus as we simultaneously grow together in sisterhood.
