Residence Halls


Located on the south end of the AMU campus, the residence halls are equipped with wireless internet, kitchenettes, common rooms, study lounges, computer labs, laundry facilities, and chapels.

There are six undergraduate residence halls, 4 for men, 2 for women. Each is staffed by Resident Assistants and one in-house Residence Director. All residence hall rooms are furnished to accommodate two or more students and have a private adjoining bathroom.

One of the four men’s residence halls at Ave Maria, St. Maria Goretti Hall houses 160 men. Built in 2007 and dedicated to St. Maria Goretti, it has become home to the Gentlemen of Goretti Hall. Goretti Hall was the winner of the 2013 Dorm Wars. Goretti Hall has thirty-eight rooms that serve as doubles/triples and eight 8-person suites. The doubles/triples each have one bathroom and the suites have a common area and two bathrooms. The hall features a large lobby with a kitchen available for student use. There are three 40” LCD TVs located throughout the building.
The building is air-conditioned with individual room temperature controlled remotely. Laundry rooms provide residents unlimited use of washers and dryers. A computer lab and printer is available to students on the 3rd floor. At the heart of our residence hall is the Goretti Hall chapel that houses the Blessed Sacrament where students can pause to reflect and pray.

Built in 2007 and housing 141 students, St. Sebastian Hall is one of the four men’s residence halls at Ave Maria University.

St. Sebastian Hall has forty-two rooms that serve as doubles/triples and eight 8-person suites. The doubles/triples each have a bathroom and the suites include a common area and two bathrooms. The hall features a large lobby complete with air hockey, Ping-Pong, and foosball tables as well as a kitchen available for student use. Each floor is also is fitted with 40’’ HD TV located in each floors common room. An on-site laundry room is available to residents free of charge. Students can also study and work in one of the halls three computer labs with a printer available for student use in the first floor lab. At the heart of Sebastian Hall is our chapel that houses the Blessed Sacrament where students can pause to reflect and pray.

St. Francis Xavier Hall was built in 2007 and houses 160 male residence. St. Francis Xavier Hall has thirty-eight rooms that serve as doubles/triples and eight 8-person suites. The doubles/triples each have one bathroom and the suites have a common area and two bathrooms. The hall features a large lobby with a kitchen available for student use. There are three 40” LCD TVs located throughout the building. The building is air-conditioned with individual room temperature controlled remotely. Laundry rooms provide residents unlimited use. A computer lab and printer is available to students.

Saint Joseph Hall is one of four male residential halls and is home to 150 male students. The hall features a large lobby with a refrigerator and kitchen appliances available for student use. There are three 40” LCD TVs located throughout the building in common rooms.The building is air-conditioned with individual room temperature controlled remotely. Laundry rooms provide residents unlimited use of both washers and dryers. A computer lab and printer is available to students. At the heart of our residence hall is the St. Joseph Hall chapel located on the 3rd floor that houses the Blessed Sacrament where students can pause to reflect and pray. St. Joseph Hall has 40 rooms with the following layout.

Pope John Paul II Hall is one of two women’s residence halls. JPII Hall has the ability to house 274 residents with 4 women in each room. Each room has wireless internet access and is air-conditioned which can be remotely regulated. The hall has common rooms with cable TV and HDMI cables available for residents to use at any time. Computer labs, printers, laundry facilities, the hall lobby with a half kitchen, and the Chapel are shared between Pope John Paul II Hall and Mother Teresa Hall residents.

Mother Teresa Hall is one of two women’s residence halls and has the ability to house 274 residents with 4 women in each room. Each room has wireless internet access and is air-conditioned which can be remotely regulated. The hall has common rooms with cable TV and HDMI cables available for residents to use at any time. Computer labs, printers, laundry facilities, the hall lobby with a half kitchen, and the Chapel are shared between Pope John Paul II Hall and Mother Teresa Hall residents.
