Florida State Association of Supervisor of Election (FSASE) 2016 Scholarship
Eligibility requirements:
- U.S. Citizen
- Florida resident for 2 years preceding the academic year for which the application is made
- Major – Political Science, Public Administration, Journalism, or Mass Communications
- Enrolled full time as an undergraduate student, and have finished 2 years of undergraduate work
- Maintained a “C” average or above for the previous year
- Submit 2 letters of recommendation
- Demonstrate financial need
- Be registered to vote, and be available for a personal interview in the county in which the applicant is registered to vote

Mensa Education And Research Foundation Scholarship Essay Contest
The MENSA Foundation holds an annual scholarship essay contest. To be eligible, the applicant must be a resident of the area covered by our local group; and be enrolled in a degree program in an accredited U.S. institution of higher learning. The general awards are unrestricted as to age, race, sex, level of education or financial need. Special awards are made for additional specific criteria, details of which are on page two of the general application. Applications are available online at http://www.mensafoundation.org until the deadline date.

Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs and Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowships
The Pickering Undergraduate Fellowship selects undergraduate students in their junior year. Prospective master’s degree students may apply to the Pickering Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship.
The Thomas R. Pickering Undergraduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship program provides funding to participants as they are prepared academically and professionally to enter the United States Department of State Foreign Service. Women, members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, and students with financial need are encouraged to apply. The Pickering Undergraduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship seeks to recruit talented students in academic programs relevant to international affairs, political and economic analysis, administration, management, and science policy. The goal is to attract outstanding students from all ethnic, racial, and social backgrounds who have an interest in pursuing a Foreign Service career in the U.S. Department of State. The Program develops a source of trained men and women from academic disciplines representing the skill needs of the Department, who are dedicated to representing America’s interests abroad.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarships
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s scholarships are designed to encourage and support outstanding students from 7th grade through graduate school who have a breadth of interests, work hard, demonstrate a strong will to succeed, and have financial need.
NAHP Haitian Leadership Award Scholarship
The scholarship fund provides support to Haitian/Haitian American students. The recipient must have a high school or college minimum GPA of 3.0. Recipients will be awarded between $500 and $1,000.

- This scholarship is available to veterans and relatives of veterans residing in Collier County, Florida.
- This scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of financial need
- Proof of the applicant’s veteran’s status or relationship to a veteran {DD214/ discharge papers/list of awards, short history of service} must be included with the application.
- Recipients of this scholarship must be United States citizens and must attend schools located in the United States.
- Essays and photographs of recipients maybe used for promotional purposes.
