Supporting proof of residency for one parent is required for dependent students, and supporting proof of residency is required for independent students. Completion of the Florida Resident Financial Aid application and the submission of supporting documents is done electronically via the financial aid Net Partner Portal. The EASE grant requires full-time enrollment, 12 or more credits per semester. Florida Student Assistant Grant (FSAG) – $1,000 The FSAG is a need-based grant for Florida residents. Funds are limited. Apply early. To Apply: Complete the “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” (FAFSA). The 2024-2025 application is expected to be available on December 31. Our school code is 039413. The FSAG requires a minimum of 6 credits of enrollment. Florida Bright Futures Scholarship (based on 16 credits per term) Florida Academic Scholar – $6,752 Florida Medallion Scholarship – $5,056 The Bright Futures Scholarship program is provided to Florida Academic Scholars award (FAS) and the Florida Medallion Scholars award (FMS) eligible students. To apply and check your award status, use the application below: Florida Financial Aid Application AMU Bright Futures State School Code: 036. Your application must have the AMU school code in order for the scholarship funds to be disbursed at AMU. Application opens October 1 each year and is due by Aug 31 after high school graduation. Eligibility requirements are listed on the Bright Futures Website in Chapter 1: Initial Eligibility, page 3. The initial award is an estimate based on 16 credits of enrollment in fall/spring or 6 credits in summer. Awards are adjusted to your actual enrollment after the add/drop period each semester. In order to renew the scholarship for the following academic year, students must meet all the renewal requirements at the end of the Spring semester.
