Dr. Jeremy D. Bailey holds the Ross M. Lence Distinguished Teaching Chair and has a dual appointment in Political Science and the Honors College at the University of Houston. His research interests include executive power, constitutionalism, and American political thought. His most recent book is James Madison and Constitutional Imperfection

. His writings on American Politics have appeared in the American Political Science Review, American Politics Research, Presidential Studies Quarterly and the Review of Politics
.Dr. Bailey received his Ph.D. from Boston College, where his dissertation was the 2004 co-winner of the American Political Science Associations’ E. E. Schattschneider Prize for best dissertation in American politics.
