Nov 16 2023 Men’s Basketball The AMU Men’s Basketball team kept their undefeated record during Tuesday’s home opener, beating the Johnson Suns 102-68. Scoring 62 points in the second half, it was the first time since 2019 that AMU put up 60 or more in a single frame. Jack Watkins led the team with 23 points, joined by Michael Klekas, Mark Blaszczyk, Jaylen White, and Jai White in the double-figures club. With this game, AMU has a 6-0 record. Nov 13 2023 Rescue Project: Episode 9 The last episode of the Rescue Project was welcomed by special guest, Father John Riccardo, who presented in person. In this final episode, “Getting Clarity on the Mission”, Fr. Riccardo broke down six answers to the question “What are we supposed to be doing with our lives right now?” It was a great opportunity for our students to enjoy a night of community and learn from Fr. Nov 11 2023 Women’s Rugby The AMU Women’s Rugby team had their first game this weekend! The Maidens played in a 7s tournament with the University of Miami (UM) and won their very first game. This is the first competitive season for the Maidens since 2019, led by club founder and alumna Shelby Mayer (’20). It was an exciting game and a great matchup with UM. Nov 11 2023 Drama Club Performance The AMU Drama Club performed its fall production, Murder on the Orient Express, this weekend. One of Agatha Christie’s most iconic mysteries, this story portrays a world-renowned detective, Hercule Poirot, who finds himself unexpectedly entangled in a web of deception and murder. The Drama Club performed the play multiple times over the weekend for our students and the Ave Maria community. We cannot wait to see the musical this spring! < BACK TO WEEKLY RECAP
