Nov 03 2023 Gyrene Dance Team Recap This was the Gyrene Dance Team’s second season with their new coach, Clara Garcia. Coach Garcia graduated from the Catholic University of America, where she earned a bachelor of music concentrated in musical theater performance, with minors in dance and theology. The fall semester is offseason for our Dance team, but we have loved watching them perform at our home football games. Nov 03 2023 Marching Band Recap This fall, the AMU band had their first season with a new director, alumnus Trenton O’Neil. Mr. O’Neil was a founding member of the Ave Maria marching band. This season, their shows were based off music from the artist Queen. We loved seeing the band perform at this season’s home football games! Nov 03 2023 Men’s Soccer Season Recap The AMU Men’s Soccer team had some great highlights this season—starting with their 1-0 lead against the Johnson Suns until the final two minutes of the game when the Suns scored for a tie. The first win of the season came against Warner with a score of 3-1. Two goals were shot by Jerron Dopwell, and the final goal came from Padraic Pierson. The goals came from two assists by Andre Betioli and one from Cade Williams. The Gyrenes played Warner again, and won with a three-point shutout. The goals were scored by Edwin Parraga, Andre Betioli, and Blake Joseph, assisted by Jerron Dopwell, Cade Williams, Blake Joseph, and Luis Mendoza. We are so proud of our Gyrenes, and we can’t wait to see them come out even stronger next year! Nov 01 2023 All Saints’ Day Feast On All Saints’ Day, the community of Ave Maria celebrated the Church Triumphant with an outdoor dinner and concert. Oct 31 2023 Sadie Hawkins Dance Last weekend, the Aletes Arete Household hosted their annual Sadie Hawkins Halloween Dance.
