Tara Ladewski

Name: Tara Ladewski

Age:  20

Hometown:  New Carlisle, IN

Major/minor:  Literature

Year: Junior

  • Hobbies and Activities:  Running, singing, Irish dance, writing, cycling, photography, music
  • Clubs / Organizations / Sports involved with at AMU:  World Youth Alliance, Students for Life, Habitat for Humanity
  • Why I Chose AMU: I wanted to get out of the State school atmosphere-two years was enough! I was looking for something Catholic, small, and academically challenging. AMU seemed like a good fit... and it's Florida!!
  • What I like most about AMU: The classes-I have never been challenged so much, and I love it. The education that I'm getting here is so different from that of a state school, and so much more fulfilling. The professors-they care about our academic success, and make themselves available for students as much as possible.
  • How would you describe AMU students: There is a wide mix of personalities. There is someone for everyone here.
  • Favorite thing to do in my free time: Go off campus for sushi with friends
  • Favorite thing to do in Naples: The beach!
  • Favorite Class: Literary Traditions with Professor Joseph Pearce
  • Future plans: I would love to go abroad for an internship/year of service after graduation, teach K-3 children, get married and have a family.
  • Ave Maria is:  The most impulsive decision I have ever made about a school. It is also beginning to appear to be the best decision I have ever made. The education that I am going to leave here with is phenomenal. It will be worth the hard work and distance from my family.
