Dr. Stephen Cronin

Stephen Cronin, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor of Biology. Before coming to Ave Maria University, he taught at the University of Nevada in Reno and most recently at St. Olaf College in Minnesota. His graduate work in cell biology focused on how cells regulate cholesterol production. Dr. Cronin specializes in the area of cell biology and is very interested in developing undergraduate research opportunities. He has published articles in the Journal of Cell Biology, Molecular Interventions, and Plant Cell. He holds the degrees of B.S. from Texas A&M University and Ph.D. from the University of California at San Diego.
