Scholarships

Many deserving students cannot attend Ave Maria University due to financial restrictions. By creating a scholarship for a local, national or an international student you can provide that recipient with an outstanding education founded in the Catholic faith.

student financial aid

 

Funds donated to student financial aid are awarded to students based on academic preparedness and ability as demonstrated by the applicant's previous grade point averages and their success on SAT or ACT assessment tests. marine corps scholarship 

 

This scholarship is designed to attract reserve and active component Marines who have honorably served our country and the Corps to Ave Maria University. It is also open to any veterans from any service who served in combat in operations Enduring Freedom or Iraqi Freedom. The Marine Corps Scholarship offers complete funding by blending the benefits of the Montgomery G.I. Bill, federal financial aid entitlements and funding from Ave Maria University's Marine Corps Scholarship. Choral & Organ Scholarships

 A component of the new Choral and Organ Scholars Program, this scholarship is designed to encourage the growth of a exemplary liturgical choir at Ave Maria University and to reward talented young musicians for their hard work and commitment. Awards of $2,400 are given annually to Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass singers, based on performance auditions held by the Department of Sacred Music. One award of up to $3,000 is given annually to an organist, based on an audition held by the Department of Sacred Music. eagle scout scholarship 

 

The Eagle Scout Scholarship is awarded to Eagle Scouts who meet the criteria for admission to AMU and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher when enrolled. These students have demonstrated through their achievements in the Boy Scouts their leadership skills and interest in service to the community. Each award covers half of the cost of tuition, $9,000. the terri schindler-schiavo scholarship

 Recipients of this scholarship are young men enrolled in the Pre-Theologate program and actively discerning a vocation to the ministerial priesthood. These partial scholarships are awarded based on recommendations from the Dean of the Pre-Theologate Program. Establish a Scholarship

magnificat scholarshipsTM

 This family of scholarships is designed to attract national and international students who have high records of achievement and who can provide leadership for the family, the Church and their nations to Ave Maria University. The Magnificat Scholarship is a four-year full scholarship, offered to students who have exhibited academic excellence as well as notable service to their communities.  If you are interested in starting a Magnificat Scholarship please contact Dr. Carole Carpenter, Vice President for University Relations at (239) 280-2572.


endowed named scholarships 

 An endowed scholarship is a permanent tribute to the person whose name it bears. The initial corpus for an endowed scholarship must be at least $50,000. Once an endowment is established the corpus can always be augmented. Donors of endowed scholarships receive annual reports on the recipients of the award and on the financial status of the fund. tomorrow's leaders scholarships 

 

The Tomorrow's Leaders Scholarships are prestigious scholarships created by the generous donations and endowments of Ave Maria University benefactors. These merit based scholarships will benefit outstanding student leaders and range from $2,000 to $8,000 per year. bishop's scholarshipsTM 

 

A Bishop's Scholarship is a single gift of $5,000 or more supporting students who attended high school in a local diocese. The scholarship is designed to encourage young students around the country to pursue academic excellence and deepen their knowledge of their Catholic faith in order to be equipped to live out their faith in service to God and to others. We encourage each Archdiocese and Diocese to recommend students for this scholarship. Ave Maria University is seeking benefactors in order to be able to offer Bishop's Scholarships for Dioceses all over the country. Rosary Scholarships

 The Rosary scholarships are four year scholarship committments of $10,000 per year. These scholarships are awarded to academically gifted students who have demonstrated financial need.
