Originally from Southington, CT, Rachel has a BS in Environmental Science from Marywood University in Scranton, PA and an MTS in Pastoral Theology from Ave Maria University's Institute of Pastoral Theology.
Rachel is beginning a research project on the presence of Sherman's Short-tailed Shrew in a local watershed preserve, Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed. With past work experience as a field biologist for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in the panhandle of Florida, Rachel is frequently consulted on matters of local flora and fauna. She likes to give presentations on wildlife safety for those newcomers to South Florida who are unfamiliar with the local inhabitants.
