Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Richard Dittus attended Fordham University and double majored in Mathematics and Social Science with a minor in Secondary Education. He also earned a Master’s degree at Fordham University in Education specializing in Statistics and Computer Science. After spending 5 years teaching mathematics and coaching tennis at St. Francis Prep in New York, Mr. Dittus began a 17 year career with MetLife. This gave him the opportunity to apply his mathematics, computer, and statistics skills in the business world. After returning to education in the Atlanta area, Mr. Dittus became the Director of Admissions at Ave Maria College in Michigan in 2002 and moved on to Ave Maria University in 2003. He currently serves as the Director of the Student Success Program and as Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics.
