Paul Baxa, Ph.D, is Assistant Professor of History. Dr. Baxa graduated with a B.A. Spec. Hon. from York University, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. His dissertation, “Roads and Ruins: Fascism and the Roman Cityscape” was defended in July 2006. His research interests focus on the geographical spaces of Italian fascism. Dr. Baxa’s teaching interests include the intellectual and cultural history of modern Europe. His most recent publication is “Piacentini’s Window: The Modernism of the Fascist Master Plan of Rome,” (Contemporary European History, 2004).
