Alexander Frain
 | Admissions Counselor |
I graduated from Ave Maria University with the Class of 2007 with a B.A. in Literature and a minor in Theology. I am inspired by the mission of the University and feel called to continue my time at Ave Maria serving as an Admissions Counselor. As an alumnus of the university, I can offer prospective students an inside look at being a student at AMU.
A native of Florida's Gulf coast, I came back to Florida and to Ave Maria University in 2004 as a transfer student after spending four years in the Northeast. After one year at a large university in New York, I felt called to look elsewhere to continue my college career. As a student accustomed to small classes and a close-knit community atmosphere since high school, I was attracted to AMU immediately. Once I learned about the firm commitment to the liberal arts and the strong Catholic faith that exists at every level of life at the university, I knew I had found the place for which I was searching. My interest in literature and theology was greatly fostered here. Part of what makes the academic life so wonderful at AMU is the interconnectivity of each discipline; what I learned in my theology classes shed light on what I was reading for the literature courses. Every class teaches you something valuable, a true testament to the benefit of the liberal arts curriculum taught here at AMU. My wife, Elizabeth Frain, and I met while students at AMU, so Ave Maria is a large part of our family! I am privileged to continue to be a part of this family as a member of the Admissions Team.
