Ave Maria Development receives EDC award

Ave Maria Development and the Barron Collier Companies received the highest award bestowed by the Economic Development Council of Collier County during their Excellence in Industry Awards Sept. 14, 2006. Called the Outstanding Volunteer Award, it honors the individual or business organization that inspires leadership, exemplifies the free enterprise system, is an extraordinary role model for others in business, and has made noteworthy contributions to Collier County's businesses and the area's economy. Paul Marinelli, on behalf of Barron Collier, and Fr. Joseph Fessio, S.J., on behalf of the university, accepted the award before an audience of 500 business and community leaders.
