AMU chancellor meets the Pope

Thomas S. Monaghan, founder and chancellor of Ave Maria University, recently had the opportunity to meet Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican. Monaghan was in Rome as part of a pilgrimage with members of Legatus, an organization of Catholic businessmen and women. During the Holy Father's weekly general audience, Monaghan had the opportunity to present Pope Benedict with an envelope containing Legatus' annual tithe.
