Tropical Storm Gustav
August 27, 2008
Gustav weakened to a tropical storm last night, but is expected to regain its hurricane status later today. The storm is not tracking the footsteps of Fay, instead potentially threatening the central or western Gulf Coast next week. Your Ave Maria University Emergency Management Team will monitor the track and velocity of Gustav closely since the tracks of storms and hurricanes are unpredictable. Any changes in track or velocity which may threaten the AMU community will be reported in a timely manner.
