| REgular events | | | Each month from September through March, we gather together as Founders and friends to learn and be inspired by great speakers from Ave Maria University and the local community on a featured topic. All are welcome to attend our events where you will also hear the most recent updates on Ave Maria University and Ave Maria, Fla., enjoy good food, and visit with friends. | What: | Founders Club Dinner meeting. | | When: | The second Tuesday of the month:

Sept. 9, 2008 | Home to Rome | Deacon Forrest Wallace is very happily married with 8 children (4 boys and 4 girls). Raised as a Protestant, he converted to the Church not long after he married his wife Mary. Deacon Wallace was ordained to the diaconate in 1993 by Bishop Sean P. O'Malley, OFM Cap. in Fall River , Massachusetts. Professionally he has held Marketing Director positions with Fortune 500 companies in the banking industry. He is currently the Director of Marketing for Ave Maria University.

He played professional basketball for ten years and coached a professional European basketball team for six years. Brian was a successful business owner and also a Marketing Director of a financial holding company. His passion is sports. | Tuesday,
Nov. 11, 2008 | The Chaplain as an instrument of Christ in Wartime | Fr. Robert J. Kantor, LCDR, CHC , USNR (ret.) has more than 22 years of Navy service as a Public Affairs Officer and then a Chaplain in the reserves. He has had many enriching assignments, including a tour in Afghanistan from 2004 to 2005 and as a member of a unit serving the US Navy Central Command, traveling to the Arabian Gulf four times from 2003-2006, Fr. Kantor is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol and is presently serving as Leadership Officer for Naples Cadet Squadron. He was named administrator of St. Agnes Catholic Church upon its elevation to parish status in March of 2007 and was later appointed by Bishop Frank Dewane as Vicar Forane for the Diocese's Southern Deanery. | Tuesday,
