My family is originally from the North Shore of Chicago, but I grew up on the East Coast. I received my B.A. from Christendom College and then spent two years studying at Mt. St. Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland. After spending some time working on an off shore oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico, I moved to Lafayette, Louisiana, and taught middle school for a year. I was blessed to have the opportunity to study in Rome, Italy, for an additional two and a half years. Upon returning to the United States, I started my own business in Boston which I operated for a few years. In 1997, I was invited to pursue a career on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. I loved the dynamic pace of the NYSE and for the next eight years I enjoyed the professional challenges of this competitive workplace.
In 2005, due to a family illness, I relocated to Naples to assist my parents. For several years I had been hearing great reviews about Ave Maria University from my Mother, Father and little sister who were living nearby and participating in the rich academic and community life of the University. Wanting to be part of this great endeavor, I applied for a job in admissions. I consider it a privilege and a joy to be working for such a great University dedicated to Our Blessed Mother.
