Northern Michigan Founders Club Dinner August 21, 2008 Thomas S. Monaghan, the Chancellor and Founder of Ave Maria University addressed the Northern Michigan Founders Club on the topic: The "New Springtime" in the Church Through Educating our Catholic Youth. Monaghan is the Chancellor and Founder of Ave Maria University, Founder of Domino's Pizza, former owner of the Detroit Tigers and alumnus of St. Francis High School in Traverse City. RSVP: by Monday, August 18, 2008. | Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008 | The Crusades | Jeffrey Hass, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor of History at Ave Maria University. He specializes in the social and military history of the Middle Ages, with particular interests in the medieval town and the study of knighthood and chivalry. Dr. Hass holds the degrees of B.A. from Franciscan University of Steubenville, M.A. from the University of Toronto, and both M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Leeds in England.
