Assistant Professor in Mathematics

Qualifications:
- Ave Maria University seeks broadly trained candidates for an assistant professor position in mathematics beginning July 1, 2008, subject to final administrative approval.
- Minimum qualifications include :a Ph.D. in mathematics, an active program of research, teaching experience, and a commitment to the University's mission to educate the whole person in light of the Catholic liberal arts tradition as expressed in the papal documents Fides et Ratio, Veritatis Splendor, and Ex Corde Ecclesiae.
The primary duties of the successful applicant will be teaching mathematics courses, both in the core curriculum and the mathematics major, research, and some institutional service. Exceptional candidates active in any area are encouraged to apply, although preference may be given to persons working in knot theory, operator algebras, or mathematical physics.
