Assistant Professor of Economics

Dr. Joseph Burke is Assistant Professor of Economics at Ave Maria University. He teaches courses on microeconomics, econometrics, and Catholic Social Teaching. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Madison-Wisconsin in May of 2005. He is currently interested in the economics of health and the family, especially the economics of contraception. Dr. Burke recently published an article on the Pope Benedict's pre-encyclical thoughts on economic matters in the Catholic Social Science Review.
