Schedule of Events Graduation 2008
Sunday, April 27th
7:30 PM Senior Awards: Student Union Ballroom
All are welcome to attend this ceremony at which the Pre-Theologate, the Solanus Casey, and the Student Life awards will be presented to members of the Class of 2008. Following the awards ceremony, a dessert reception will be held just outside the Student Union Ballroom.
Friday, May 9th
1:15 PM Baccalaureate Mass: Ave Maria Oratory
Friends and family of the class of 2008 are encouraged to come celebrate with us as we thank God for the gift of our graduates and ask for God's blessing on them as they leave the Ave Maria community to become Catholic leaders in society. The Mass will be held at Ave Maria Oratory, at Ave Maria Town Centre, and presided over by Adam Cardinal Maida, the archbishop of Detroit.
The University has set aside time following the Mass so that friends and family of the graduates have an opportunity to honor their graduates in personal family celebrations. All are encouraged to explore the surrounding Naples area and enjoy the sites and restaurants highlighted in the following websites:
8:00 - 11:00 PM Reception and Dance: Stella Maris, Interim Campus in Naples
A dance and reception will be held to provide an opportunity for the graduates to mingle and celebrate together one last time before Commencement.
Saturday, May 10th
7:30 AM Mass: Ave Maria Grammar & Prep School
A continental breakfast will be served for the students in the quad following the Mass.
9:30 AM Commencement: Ave Maria Oratory
Relatives, family, and friends of the graduates of 2008 are invited to attend the Commencement ceremony, to be held within the Ave Maria Oratory. Following the Commencement, there will be a catered reception at the Student Union.
