Club leadership

 Our leaders are our trusted servants who serve both the Founders and Ave Maria University with the support of the local Founders and the National Founders Office. The Fort Myers Founders Club leadership is currently in formation. Please let us know your gifts and talents that you would like to share with us to build the Fort Myers Founders Club. REgular events

 

Each month, we gather together as Founders and friends to learn and be inspired by great speakers from Ave Maria University and the local community on a featured topic. All are welcome to attend our events where you will also hear the most recent updates on Ave Maria University and Ave Maria, Fla., enjoy good food, and visit with friends.

Where: Crowne Plaza (formerly the Holiday Inn Bell Tower Hotel), 13501 Bell Tower Drive, Ft. Myers, (behind the Bell Tower Mall, Northeast corner of US 41 and Daniels Pkwy).
Time:• Register 5:45 p.m. • 6:15 p.m. Dinner • Speaker to follow.
Cost:$30.00 per person (includes dinner and speaker).
RSVP:Please call Ann at 239-220-1322. Reservations should be made by the Friday before the event.  Make checks payable to "Ave Maria University."

Brian Scanlan is the new Athletic Director at Ave Maria University. He played professional basketball for ten years and coached a professional European basketball team for six years.  Brian was a successful business owner and also a Marketing Director of a financial holding company.  His passion is sports.

Richard May holds a BA in theology from St. Thomas U. in Houston and an MA in theology from the Franciscan U. in Ohio. He speaks nationally, has a weekly live radio program on Radio Maria, and has appeared nationally on EWTN TV and radio as well.  His specialty is Marian theology and spirituality. He is a former air force pilot, and is an aerospace engineer by profession.
