Don J. Gunther

Don J. Gunther

Mr. Gunther retired in June 1999 as vice chairman, director, and a member of the chairman’s leadership council of Bechtel Group, Inc. As vice chairman, he had responsibility for all of the global industry units, all corporate functions including project management, engineering, procurement, construction, information services, information technology and contracts. Gunther joined Bechtel in 1961 as a field engineer in the Refinery & Chemical Division. He was recalled by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers to serve during the Berlin Crisis and returned to Bechtel in 1962. He progressed through a series of increasingly responsible positions in the United States, Canada, and Europe over a 38 year career with the company. Don received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and an honorary doctorate from the University of Missouri-Rolla. He recently served on the board of trustees of the university, and on the board of the Williams Energy Group. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and a former member of the executive board for the Engineering and Construction Contracting Division of the AIChE. He is a past member of the Construction Industry Institute Executive Committee, and received their highest honor, the CII Award of Excellence. During his career Don served on the board of governors of the World Economic Forum, the World Energy Council, the boards of directors of the United States Energy Association, the U. S. – Russia Business Council, and the British-North American Committee. Currently he is vice chairman of the Naples Children & Education Foundation, and serves as an advisor to Northern Trust Bank, Bonita Springs. He is a retired member of the Estates of Bay Colony Board, and the retired president of the Remington of Bay Colony Board.

Elmer Hansen, Jr.

Elmer Hansen, Jr.

Mr. Hansen is CEO and the Licensed Real Estate Broker of Hansen Properties, Inc. in Blue Bell, PA, and is also CEO of Hansen Residential Construction Company and President of the Hansen Development Company. He obtained his B.A. from LaSalle University in 1958. Mr. Hansen holds leadership positions with Legatus, the Papal Foundation, the Catholic Leadership Conference, LaSalle University, Saint Charles Seminary and the Stewards of St. John Neuman. He has received numerous awards and honors for his service to his community and the Catholic Church.

BOARD OF REGENTS: Don I. Holton

Don I. Holton

Don Holton is the Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Preferred Medical Group of Companies.  He also serves on the Board of Directors of the American Institute of Gastric Banding, a weight/obesity management business, as well as Physician Oncology, cancer centers that provide radiation therapy to cancer patients.  He and his wife Liz founded the Holton Family Foundation in 2005.  The Foundation provides support through cash grants to recipients who operate Catholic/Christian based services in the areas of health, welfare and education.

Mr. Holton was the Chairman, CEO and founder of Preferred Medical Group, Inc. a provider of dialysis services serving Florida and Georgia.  The 24 dialysis clinics, with over 1,000 ESRD patients, were sold to Renal Care Group/Fresenius Corporation in 2005. Prior to founding PMG, Mr. Holton successfully acquired and developed other businesses including founding of the Community Bank of Naples in 1995, Preferred Technical Group (with Bain Capital) in 1993, and APT (with GE Capital) in 1989.  Mr. Holton served either as Chairman or as a Board Member of various companies owned by Mitsubishi International from 1996 to 2004.  He also served as an executive with American Hospital Supply Company for five years and for GE Atomic Energy, GE Medical and GE Appliance, respectively, for 22 years.

Don Holton obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida.  Mr. Holton is a graduate of GEI in business and Engineering.  The Holtons have two children and five grandchildren.

John H. Keating

John H. Keating

Mr. Keating is the Presiding Elder of The Servants of the Word, an ecumenical brotherhood of men who are Living Single for the Lord. Their mission is the evangelization of young people, and they participate in and serve Christian communities throughout the world that are involved in the charismatic renewal. John has an undergraduate degree in history from the University of Michigan and a graduate degree in theology from Sacred Heart Seminary.

Garrett Kelleher

Garrett Kelleher

Mr. Kelleher is a Property Developer with offices in Chicago and Dublin. He is the Executive Chairman of Shelbourne Development. Mr. Kelleher attended Belvedere College and Trinity College Dublin. He then started a company specializing in refurbishments and loft conversions in Chicago. By the time he returned to Dublin 12 years later, he employed about 200 people. His business interests are wide and varied, however his core business still lies in development where he hold significant global real estate interests. Mr. Kelleher held the position of Chairman of Legatus Ireland in 2006. He has a keen interest in sports and Shelbourne Development is the sponsor of the ‘Irish Men’s Tennis Championships’. Mr. Kelleher is a devoted family man and has six children.

BOARD OF REGENTS: Denise Cobb

Kenneth P. Kleinrichert

Mr. Kleinrichert is currently a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Traverse City, Michigan and a Eucharist minister. He is the president of the Traverse City Ave Maria Founders Club and has been a  member of the Traverse City Rotary for the past 15 years.

Kenneth was the co-founder and owner of LaSenorita Mexican restaurants of Michigan, past member of Legatus of Ann Arbor, Immaculate Conception parish council and member of Grand Traverse Area Catholic School board.  He also started and chaired the Gladhander, a major fundraiser for the Catholic schools for Traverse City, and started the Festival of Trees another fundraiser for the city.

He was runner up for the "Small Business Person of the Year" for the state of Michigan and awarded the "Small Business Person of the Year" for Traverse City by the Chamber.

Kenneth and his wife Patricia have been married for 43 years and have four children and eight grandchildren. They have lived in Traverse City for 27 years and winter in Naples for the last seven years.
