Mr. Monaghan Gives 70 Year Projection of AMU’s Impact on Church and Society (New)

The vision for AMU is taking shape in many ways, and your prayers and support have been critical to this process. People often ask me, why start a new university? I answer that a university founded on faithfulness to the Church is the best way I know how to help the Church and society. Over the last couple months, I have put some numbers to my projections to show what kind of “ripple effect” I believe AMU can have! Mid-Winter Get-Away to Sunny Ave Maria,
Florida

Michigan Founders made their second annual mid-winter get-away to Ave Maria, Florida.  The trip was a three day visit, that included a tour throughout the new campus and town. Spiritual highlights included daily Mass and Lenten reflections led by Ave Maria priests and faculty.

The Michigan Founders enjoyed being a part of the university life and just being at Ave Maria, Fla. and taking advantage of the lovely Southwest Florida weather in February!   Some highlights of the trip included a dinner with Mr. Monaghan at a wonderful local seafood restaurant.  But the big event was attending the 4th annual Ave Maria University Gyrene Gala. This black tie event encompassed both the exquisiteness of Ave Maria University and the elegance of Naples.

The trip took place from Friday, February 27 to Sunday, March 1, 2009. The cost was $1,000 per person and included flight, lodging in Naples, ticket to the Gyrene Gala and luxury shuttle service throughout the 3-day trip.

What a great mid-winter get-away!

Please keep this trip in mind for next year in 2010!  We would love to have you join us!  For more information contact Marita Ladosenszky, University Relations & Regional Founders Club Coordinator, at 734-667-5601 or email: marita.ladosenszky@avemaria.edu
