David Tamisiea is an assistant professor of theology at Ave Maria University. He is also a Ph.D. candidate in theology at Ave Maria, and is currently working on his dissertation entitled, “The Baptismal Priesthood of the Laity, and its Relation to the Eucharist.” His chief areas of expertise are in ecclesiology and in moral theology. He has a wide spectrum of other research interests, including the theology of revelation and development of doctrine; the relationship between faith and reason; Catholic Social Doctrine; and sacramental and liturgical theology. Mr. Tamisiea has published an article in Angelicum entitled “St. Thomas Aquinas on the One Esse of Christ,” and has another publication forthcoming in The Heythrop Journal. Prior to his graduate studies in theology, Mr. Tamisiea was a practicing attorney specializing in civil litigation in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for over 10 years. He holds the degrees of B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, M.A. in theology from Ave Maria University, and J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
