Biography

 

Dr. Nutt’s research interests include Christology and
Sacramental Theology, especially as found in the Third Part of St. Thomas Aquinas’s Summa theologiae. His dissertation “Christus Sacerdos et Mediator: Thomistic Christology and Vatican II’s Call for Theological Renewal” was awarded the 2006 Aquinas Dissertation Prize by the Aquinas Center for Theological Renewal.  Dr. Nutt’s articles have appeared in Nova et Vetera, English Edition, Louvain Studies, Antiphon, Gregorianum, The Josephinum Journal of Theology, and Angelicum. His translation and introduction to Thomas Aquinas’s disputed question De unione verbi incarnati (Louvain: Peeters Press, 2015) is the 21st volume in the Dallas Medieval Text and Translations series. Dr. Nutt is a member of the Academy of Catholic Theology.  He holds the degrees of B.E.S. from St. Cloud State University, M.A. in Theology and Christian Ministry from Franciscan University, and S.T.B., S.T.L., and S.T.D. from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome, Italy.
