We are proud to announce the Ave Maria Career Advisor Program!
Are you eligible for a career advisor?
This program allows career professionals to share their work experiences and expertise with current students looking to establish or expand their careers in the same - or similar - field. If you are an undergraduate student within 24 credits of degree completion or alumnus, you are eligible to participate!
Requesting a Career Advisor is a great way for students and alumni to learn from professionals about a field they are looking to join, or advance in.
How can students request a career advisor?
Complete the online registration form and you will be contacted by the AMU Career Services Office to gain access to the database of Career Advisors
What if I would like to become a Career Advisor?
Working professionals (and alumni) interested in becoming a career advisor complete the Career Advisor Registration Form online.
If you are an alumnus interested in becoming a career advisor after graduation, please get involved. By assisting others, you can enhance leadership skills and view your industry through a new perspective. You can also be a positive influence to help others with advice and guidance as they transition and grow.
Please note this is not an Academic Advisor - but a Career Advisor opportunity.
Career Development Tip:
- Consider Joining a Professional Association -
Associations offer professional development conferences and job listings for their members. Associations publish journals and newsletters with up-to-date information about their field. Professional associations are available for almost any career field and are a resource for networking opportunities with other professional members within a field. Membership in a professional association generally conveys to an employer that you are dedicated to your field of study. Fees are substantially reduced for students and may offer tuition assistance through grants and fellowships. Following are links to sites that can help you find professional associations in your field of interest:
