A prolific scholar, he has published thirteen books and penned more than thirty-five academic articles. His publications include two edited volumes of Shakespeare, Hamlet and Macbeth, in the prestigious Norton Critical Edition Series, 2007’s Early Modern Catholicism: An Anthology of Primary Sources (Oxford University Press) and Shakespeare’s Rome (Cambridge University Press, 1983).
